The insurance covers liability claims arising from activities

in connection with advising and dealing with European law;
of the lawyer before European courts
Worldwide in the amount of the legally prescribed minimum sum insured for liability claims arising from claims made against the policyholder before non-European courts.

According BRAO, individual lawyers are obliged to maintain professional liability insurance with a minimum sum insured of € 250.000. The details can be found in Section 51 BRAO.

5. Notification concerning extrajudicial consumer dispute Resolution according to Sect. 36 VSBG

For monetary claims based on the client relationship the lawyers’ dispute resolution board is competent, Rauchstraße 26, 10787 Berlin, www.s-d-r.org. Lawyers are not obliged to participate in extrajudicial Dispute resolution before a consumer mediation center.

Dr Dydra Donath does not take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board, in particular the arbitration board of the German Bar Association.
